Katerini’s first carnival parade
MASQUERINI 2025 brings the city its first carnival parade: Sunday 2 March, 12:00, from the Park of Colours to Eleftherias Square.
Katerini is getting ready to let loose. As part of the MASQUERINI 2025 carnival season, the city holds a carnival parade for the first time — the Masquerini Passarella — and it is open to everyone.
We meet on Sunday 2 March at 12:00 at the start line, the entrance of the Park of Colours, heading for Eleftherias Square and the main Street Party.
The Passarella moves to music, with dance happenings along the route, surprises, and the city’s first carnival figure leading the way.
A good number of bars, restaurants and cultural clubs from the centre have already entered, with all kinds of costume ideas and inventive names. We invite clubs of every kind, schools of every level, sports teams, gyms and organisations to take part.
Get a group together, or just round up your friends, find an inventive name and a good costume theme — we suggest something from this year’s Street Party theme, “80s 90s Disco”.
Update: the Masquerini Passarella 2025 was called off because of rain. The first Passarella took place in 2026.
