The grand parade

Masquerini Passarella

Katerini’s carnival parade, open to everyone. It sets off from the entrance of the Park of Colours and finishes on Agias Lavras, right inside the Street Party.

The event

The Passarella is what gave Katerini a parade of its own. It was first announced in 2025 — at first as the “Delulu Walk”, then as the Masquerini Passarella — but rain called off that first edition. It finally took place in 2026 and became the high point of the carnival weekend.

It moves to music, with dance happenings along the route and the Queen of Masquerini, the city’s carnival figure, at its head. Organised groups take part alongside cultural clubs, schools of every level, sports teams, gyms, dance studios, local businesses — and plain groups of friends.

From the Park of Colours to Agias Lavras

At Parmenionos it turns down Partheniou Vardaka, then climbs to finish on Agias Lavras, inside the Street Party zone. 700 metres in all, about 9 minutes on foot.
