The grand parade

Masquerini Passarella

Katerini’s carnival parade, known as the Passarella, is open to everyone. It is the ultimate moment of fun and carnival revelry. It sets off from the entrance of the Park of Colours and finishes where Geo. Olympiou, Solomou and Agias Lavras streets meet, in the heart of the Street Party.

The event

The Passarella is what gave Katerini a parade of its own. It was first announced in 2025, but rain called off that first edition. It took place for the first time in 2026 with more than 200 participants and became the high point of the carnival weekend.

It moves to music, with dance happenings and the Queen of Masquerini. Organised groups take part alongside clubs of every kind, schools of every level, sports teams, gyms, dance studios, cafés, restaurants and bars, and plain groups of friends.

The route

From the Park of Colours to the Street Party

At Parmenionos it turns down Agias Lavras and finishes where Geo. Olympiou and Solomou meet, in the heart of the Street Party. 700 metres in all, about 9 minutes on foot.
